Because I’m pretty much completely confused by this entire
situation, I went to have a talk with Niel about his sister to get some more
information. I also asked about any photo albums or other family history
things.
Niel told me that Marianne was his twin sister. They did
everything together. They made sure that their schedules in school matched up
and that they always went to the same summer camp. Niel even gave up a place at
a much better college so that he could stay with his sister. Really, the first
time they were ever apart was when they had to stay in separate dorms here.
That was why he didn’t believe the police (or his parents)
when they told him she just wanted to get away when she went missing. She would
never leave him.
And now comes the interesting part. Niel warned me that I
wouldn’t find anything in those photo albums. I’d assumed that he meant that I
wouldn’t find anything interesting. And this is just further proof that I need
to start believing the opposite of whatever I assume.
Because he was right, I literally didn’t find anything. I did not find a single picture of Marianne Brown. Every family photo, every
little league picture, all of them were missing Marianne. For supposedly being
inseparable, that’s a pretty glaring anomaly.
I don't think this has anything to do with the Manufactured Newborn. I have never heard of anything that might suggest that it's around here or that it's connected to Marianne. This has just gotten very interesting. I’m actually glad I
got involved with this investigation. I’m going to see if I can talk to Niel’s
parents soon.
