I was right, I got an interrogation. It wasn’t much of an
interrogation to be honest, though. I was just Nessa’s physics tutor. I never
knew any details about her personal life. I barely even knew her at all, so I
was probably absolutely zero help for the investigators. However, they provided
me with a lot of interesting information
Apparently it’s a pretty open-shut case. They found the guy
(I do know his name now, I was questioned about him, too) standing over her
body in the morning, baseball bat still in hand, covered in blood. I’d never
met him before. I don’t have any classes with him, and he lives on the other
side of campus. Nessa didn’t have any connection with him either, as far as I
know. They had completely separate interests and classes. That’s what makes
this whole thing weird. They have some pretty substantial evidence, but there’s
no motive.
So I looked this guy up. I’ll call him Jones for now because
his last name is way more common than his first. He happens to have a blog.
It’s never updated very regularly, and most of the posts are just ranting about
some person he doesn’t like.
I need to go through his posts more thoroughly and see if
there is any evidence of Fear activity. I would be surprised if there wasn’t
any. This situation seems too crazy to just be a random murder.
I should have been watching for this...
